Deanna Durbin received an increasing amount of attention during the last years. After a long and happy period, in which she lived peacefully with her family in France, she received, also under influence of the internet, more and more letters in her home. It almost became a fulltime job for her to answer them all. After her husband died in March 1999, she made her decision.
